Head of Financial Product & Pricing

This is a role for the operator who designs Cenotian's financial products - within commercial, legal, and regulatory constraints - and prices the deals they run on.

We are not hiring a lawyer, and we are not hiring a modeler. We are hiring the problem-solver who sits where credit, regulation, legal, pricing and product creation meet - with the business acumen to price deal by deal, neither overly aggressive nor overly conservative.

Context

Cenotian is the market maker for robotics, restoring industrial sovereignty in the West. We provide capital and capabilities to back physical automation projects across the US and Europe. Today, the engineers who build and install robots, machines and systems on site are under immense financial pressure and unable to scale. We remove that bottleneck, giving them the customized financing and services they need to accelerate automation in Western production. Our financial products are project financing, not generic equipment loans. We capitalize the whole automation project before it starts - engineering, integration, commissioning, and the machine itself - with financing structured around the specific deployment: milestone-based and phased funding, flexible terms for the integrator and the end operator, and support services layered on top. Typical tickets run $100K to $5M today, growing toward $50M. Cenotian is now in hyper-growth: launching new bets, entering new markets, and building the organizational backbone to sustain it. This role exists so that every product Cenotian offers is financeable, compliant, and correctly priced.

Position overview

The Head of Financial Product & Pricing owns the design of Cenotian's financial products and the pricing of its deals, working at the intersection of commercial, legal, and regulatory constraints. This is a design role with commercial judgment.

Reports to:
CFO
Location:
Anywhere in Europe in year 1; consolidation planned in a European hub in year 2

Key responsibilities

  1. 01

    Design financial products

    • Translate a commercial objective into a workable product architecture: payment mechanics, security packages, milestone and disbursement structures, pricing and fee constructs.
    • Stress-test structures against regulatory perimeters and licensing boundaries across jurisdictions.
    • Iterate the design with counsel and compliance until it is both financeable and compliant, treating regulation as a design input rather than a post-hoc review gate.
    • Keep the product list comprehensive, innovative, and living: compliant, clear to the commercial team, and regularly evolving as new customer insights and regulatory developments come in.
  2. 02

    Price deals

    • Own deal-by-deal pricing as part of the deal team, alongside commercial in live negotiations.
    • Set prices that hold: competitive enough to win the deal, disciplined enough to protect the book.
    • Direct analysts and in-house capability for the models behind each price - you audit and challenge the outputs rather than build every model yourself.
  3. 03

Own the quantitative and documentation judgment

    • Direct, audit, and challenge cash flow models, amortisation schedules, and covenant calculations - nothing gets past you unchecked.
    • Reconcile legal documents against the underlying commercial deal: spot the defined-term inconsistency before it prices wrong.
  4. 04

Run concurrent workstreams, leave playbooks behind

    • Run multiple concurrent workstreams - a product design iteration, a live deal pricing, a regulator question - with minimal supervision.
    • Escalate on judgment calls, never on execution.
    • Leave behind documented, repeatable products rather than tribal knowledge: every product ships with its term sheet template, pricing logic, and rationale.

You'll know it's working when

Cenotian's finance product list is comprehensive, innovative, and living: compliant, clear to the commercial team, and regularly evolving as new customer insights and regulatory developments come in.

Deals are priced at the pace of the pipeline - and the prices hold in negotiation.

New product structures reach counsel and compliance already stress-tested, so iteration sharpens the design instead of restarting it.

The commercial team can explain every product to a customer without calling you first.

The second product in any jurisdiction ships faster than the first, because the playbook exists.

Organizational context

The Head of Financial Product & Pricing sits within Structured Finance and works closely with:

  • CFO / EVP, Structured Finance - designs and governs leasing and securitization structures, portfolio strategy, capital formation, and risk governance.
  • CCO / EVP, Commercial - owns global commercial execution, partnerships, and demand creation; you price inside their deal team.
  • COO / EVP, Corporate Development - structures products and scalable platforms, cross-border tax optimization, M&A and corporate development initiatives.
  • Underwriting - owns underwriting, independent from pricing by design.

What this role is not

  • An underwriting seat. Underwriting sits independently under risk management; you price deals, you do not underwrite them.
  • A deal execution seat. Closing mechanics - CPs, security perfection, disbursement waterfalls - are owned elsewhere in the finance team.
  • A pure modeling seat. You direct and challenge the models; you are not the analyst who builds them.
  • A legal counsel seat.
  • 'Stakeholder alignment'.
  • Low-intensity and specialization.

Why this role

This role will attract someone who wants to design the financial products of a category-defining company during its highest-growth phase - shaping the structures that build the book, pricing the deals that prove them, and writing the product playbooks the organization will run on, alongside its founders and a world-class executive team.
